Laneige Two Tone Tint Lip Bar Review

Beauty Review: Gettin’ lippy with Laneige two tone tint lip bars.

So this is one hell of an overdue post… but I decided to write it anyway because I really wanted to share this product with you guys! It’s no secret that Laneige is one of my favorite Korean beauty brands, and if you’ve read my previous posts, you’d know that I am a huge fan of their BB cushions. For some reason, I did not expect to be blown away by a lip product, but after testing this lip bar out, I can safely say that the Laneige two tone tint lip bar is a must-have for all K-beauty lovers out there.

Two Tone Tint Lip Bars

If you have not heard of the two tone tint lip bars yet, they were launched earlier this year as the new version of Laneige’s wildly popular two tone lip bars. These lip bars are formulated with the same Moisture wrap technology that is used for the Laneige lip sleeping mask, and give a beyond amazing moisturizing lip balm effect on your lips, all while delivering a highly pigmented finish.

I decided to get my hands on all 8 shades and do a full swatch video for these highly coveted Laneige two tone tint lip bars because these have honestly grown on me so much over the past few times that I’ve used them.

It comes in a little applicator like this and to apply, you just take off the cap and push this little lever down to push the bar out.

This is what the lip bars look like when the caps are off- the pastel part is the balm bit that works to give your lips that very soft and supple feeling. The pigment comes from the triangular bit. The triangle shape makes it very easy to achieve that gradient look, and you can do so just by swiping the bar slowly across your lips. Scent wise, these lip bars smell so much like berry flavoured candy, some people like it, some people don’t – I LOVE IT.

What I think of the Laneige Two Tone Tint Lip bars

I was pleasantly surprised by its saccharine sweet scent. I’ve mentioned this about the Laneige X Lucky Chouette lip gloss and I’ll say this again, they are scented like the Strawberry Shortcake figurines I used to play with as a child, and I love those things! I’m a sucker for scents, and that’s why I find myself in Ion Orchard every time I head down to town. #irrelevantbuttrue

The balm bit of the bar did a great job of moisturizing my lips and left them feeling amazingly soft and glossy without any hint of stickiness, all while delivering a strong colour payoff. This product is pretty ideal for lazy girls like me who hate the hassle of having to use two separate products to achieve their desired lip shade. Also, because my purse (or pocket!) space is prime real estate, I’m really into the idea of bringing just one product along with me when I head out.

If you’re expecting a sheer lip balm, this is not it. The lip balm portion does a great job of hydrating the lips, leaving the lips feeling silky soft, but this product does one better by also giving a highly pigmented gradient look. Because of the sheerness of the pigment, you can easily control how strong you want your lip color to be by just layering. If you want a sheer look, just swipe once, and build it up as you go along if you want a stronger color. The best part is – if you’re not a fan of the gradient look, you can just blend it out and you’ll get a very moisturizing lip color, which feels super comfortable on the lips.

This is a great all in one product for people who often have dry and chapped lips, but would still like to have some color. There are 8 yummy shades to choose from, my Favourite has got to be fruits Candybar. Which one is your Favourite? Leave me a comment below, I would love to know.
