[Review] HERA Cell Essence – Cell-Bio Fluid Sync 2

Hey ladies, today we’re going to look at the HERA Cell Essence – Cell-Bio Fluid Sync™ 2.0. Essences are the heart of Korean Skin care routines and serve the purpose of hydrating, skin repair and cell regeneration. Simply a toner serum hybrid like the popular SKII essence which you pat on your face with your hands. This Cell Essence is a water-type essence used at the first step of your skincare routine after cleansing and is touted to boost absorption of skincare products applied after it.

How Does HERA Cell Essence Work?

The Cell-Bio Fluid Sync™ 2.0 is a formula developed at AmorePacific labs that delivers what your tired skin needs. It is formulated to match the physiological fluid in your body, and contains the nutrients your skin needs. The formula penetrates easily upon application and instantly leaves your skin transparent and full of life.

Hera states on its website that they carried out a research carried on 129 Korean women and found a core problem of “Skin desertification” or rather, dry, tight and rough skin with a build up of dead skin cells. I guess that’s where the HERA Cell Essence comes in with its trademarked “Cell-Bio Fluid Sync™ 2.0” – with eight skin cell activators that boosts natural skin strength to keep it healthy, softer and brighter.

Based on  Dermapro survey of 22 women aged 35-44, The Hera Cell Essence managed a 100% satisfaction rate after four weeks of use. Customers reported that their skin looked better overall, felt hydrated without problems or irritation, and that their skin for felt prepped for makeup after use.

So, does it work?

There are a ton of water-based essences you can buy and you’d be hard pressed to find or feel any difference between essences. After using it for a couple of weeks, my skin definitely looked brighter and felt way smoother. It also comes with textured cotton pads that helps with exfoliation and bottle indication lines that conveniently let you know how much to use.

Instructions

1. After cleansing, apply 2.5ml (recommended amount) on your palms or cotton pad. Use morning and night.
2. When using your palms, sprinkle the essence on your palms and spread on face. Gently pat remaining product into skin until fully absorbed.
3. When using the cotton pad, hold the cotton pad between your fingers by wrapping it around the middle finger, and sprinkle the essence on the cotton pad. Gently sweep over and pat onto face in a circular motion from the center out.
4. For a more gentle care, use the wave-patterned side of the cotton. For an exfoliating care, use the mesh-patterned side to remove dead skin cells and dirt.
   Recommended amount of use: 2.5ml (enough to drench 1/3 of the center of the cotton pad)

Recommended application method [Cell-Pumping Care]

In the morning
Gently apply the essence and pat in using your finger tips to awaken and activate skin.

In the evening
Apply the essence thoroughly for a deep-nourishing care.

1. Hold the cotton pad in a diamond shape and wrap around the middle finger, fully covering it with the pad. Sprinkle 25ml (recommended amount) of the essence onto the pad.
2. Gently sweep over and pat onto face in a circular motion from the center out until fully absorbed.
3. Pay attention to and reach the delicate and curved area of your face, such as the eye area, sides of the nose, and around the lips, using the tip of the cotton pad for a thorough care.
4. For a more gentle care, use the wave-patterned side of the cotton. For an exfoliating care, use the mesh-patterned side to remove dead skin cells and dirt.
